With each passing day, we get closer to the time when shorts take the place of trousers and we bare our pasty legs to the world. Thankfully, Summer 22 has much more potential than previous years as seeing us get much more poolside time abroad, meaning the summer style serve is back.

My intention was to highlight a pair of floral shorts but I couldn’t ignore these beauties. Zara doing what Zara do best, simple pieces that are visually exciting but sartorially very simple. A wide fit Bermuda short should be in everyones wardrobe and these get my vote.
Metallic
Stone Island – Nylon Metal Swim Short – £159
I couldn’t write about shorts and not mention the brand of utilitarianism. These Stone Island shorts have a metallic sheen that really comes into its own when the sun hits them, not forgetting the ever popular compass logo on the leg.
