It definitely feels as if winter is coming around quicker than usual this year, and our wardrobes are taking a speedy shift into coat mode. Puffer jackets have always been a solid go-to in the colder months, but it’s important to ensure you’re getting your money’s worth when splashing out on a new one.

Last year saw the sudden rise of the ARKET Upcycled Down Parka and Puffer Jacket. The collection became incredibly popular and this season seems to be following suit. All coats in the collection offer ‘superior natural warmth’ from reclaimed materials, sewn from a crisp Nylon material and filled with completely recycled down and feathers.

The coats are pretty lightweight despite their filling, and are sure to keep you well insulated when you’re slogging the commute on a dark December morning. They also boast a two-way zip, an adjustable waist and large pockets (alongside two inner pockets). They’re also water repellent and wind proof.

The Parka comes in two colourways: a smart navy and a trendy beige, which is certainly pale enough to fulfil any East 17 dream you may have. This collection also offers a jacket version of the design, with a slightly smaller price tag and a puffer that will sit at mid-length. The jacket only comes in navy, but will definitely look well-paired with your work suit.

So, which one would you go for? Both are excellent choices for the approaching winter season. I’ll let you make your decision whilst I add both to my basket.
