Over the past week, our team has been wearing the Skechers Staminas to trial and test them for our readers. This is a classic athletic trainer with a comfort update. Composed of leather, synthetic and mesh fabric upper, this athletic sporty training sneaker has stitching, overlay and perforation accents. With a Memory Foam and air-cooled insole, it offers ultimate support and comfort.
Our initial opinions on them, was based on the aesthetics. A sleek black design, with reflective patterns and a multitude of switchable laces, these trainers were definitely a design we were excited to wear. Suitable for the commute, for the gym, or for day-to-day wear, the Staminas were definitely a trainer our team members could see themselves wearing.
Upon wearing them, I was amazed by the immediate comfort I felt. The memory foam sole is definitely a winner as it surrounds your feet with support and a cushioned surface that hugs your feet. Although we loved the memory foam, the only downside we found to the trainers is that the air-cooling wasn’t so affective. After a morning of wear, and after a workout our feet were extremely hot and moist. The air-cooled filtration system is said to offer a breezy and light feeling so we are still on the edge on this.
During our week of trialling, we took the Staminas to the gym, for walks and on our daily commute into the office. These ultra comfortable shoes provided us with the support and comfort needed in each task. As the gym, they provided a solid and comforted surface to perform each activity, and on the commute, they provided us with a snug and enjoyable ease of wear.
One of our favourite aspects of this design, is the changeable laces. From yellow, to blue, to black, the options allow you to transform the shoe depending on the occasion. This means it can be for the bold, for the traditional, and for the modern man.
