If football shirts aren’t your thing and you’d prefer to watch the 2020 Euros in style, then why not dress like footballs fashion forward managers rather than the players?

In the run up to the 2020 Euros UK’s leading online fashion retailer Thread has selected five of footballs best dressed managers and put together a guide on how to replicate their match day looks.

From Pep Guardiola to Scott Parker, in-house stylists have put together a ‘get the look’ style guide as well as talking through the key elements that make up their sideline style!

Pep Guardiola

  • Pep keeps his style simple and sharp with a smart casual aesthetic that seems to be missing from managers in the Premier League
  • Minimal scandi element to Pep’s style with a focus on simple quality over garish statement pieces
  • His slim and tapered cuts that aren’t too tight or too loose are pretty timeless
  • He’s very methodical with his dressing. It’s always dark colours and very subtle textures of patterns if any
  • Pep chooses high-quality fabrics in good cuts with a monochrome palette
  • He definitely isn’t one to follow trends, but he knows what works for him and sticks to it

Shop Pep’s look: RRL Shawl Cardigan (£439), Barbour Essential Lambswool Crew Neck Sweater (£69.95), Jacamo New and Improved Regular Fit Chino 29″ with Super Soft Stretch Fabric (£22), PS Paul Smith Men’s Tapered-Fit Dark Navy Stretch-Cotton Chinos (£130), M&S Collection Leather Saffiano Print Derby Shoes (£59)

Julian Nagelsmann

  • Julian Nagelsmann has a very bold sense of style
  • Julian’s style is very contemporary with ‘laddish’ elements
  • The cut of his tailoring leans more towards skinny than slim
  • He does lead quite a trend-led look and portrays a confident, daring and modern persona

Scott Parker

  • He does a good job of bringing some more relaxed pieces to a smart style, but he does in a clever way that often goes unnoticed
  • He often wears unstructured, knitted blazers that almost look like cardigans
  • Scott usually sticks to staple, classic colours for the most part with the occasional contrast in a lighter, more pastel colour
  • He has added some contemporary elements to his style with the softer shapes and fabrics he chooses

Shop Scotts look: M&S Collection Regular Fit Easy Iron Striped Shirt (£17.50), Research Garments Brussels Full Zip Jumper (£30), Reiss Piazetta Brushed Wool Single Breasted Blazer (£295), Ben Sherman Navy Blue Signature Skinny Fit Stretch Cotton Chinos (£65), M&S Collection Leather Slip-On Loafers (£79)

Joachim Low

  • Joachim Low’s style is super simple, formal but laid back in the way he wears it
  • He generally opts for a loose-fitting trouser which gives off a bit of an oversize ‘90s tailoring vibe
  • Low tends to stick to darker colours, something that works very well for him, with the occasional white shirt thrown in for good measure
  • He tends to play it safe with different fabrics and texture and doesn’t tend to stray too far from the loose-fitting trousers and relaxed fit shirt

Shop Joachim’s look: Reiss Kiana Cotton Stretch Poplin Slim Fit Shirt (£85), M&S Collection Big & Tall Regular Fit Flat Front Trousers (£19.50), M&S Collection Leather Smart Belt (£19.50), Zign Smart Suede Shoes (£35)

Carlos Corberan

  • Carlos opts for more slim-fit styles, something that works perfectly on his smaller frame
  • Focuses more on timeless basics as opposed to garish branded items that tend to be one-hit wonders in a wardrobe
  • Much like Pep, Carlos has a bit of minimalist scandi element to his style that we would describe as smart casual
  • Corberan plays it safe, sticking to a more neutral & monochrome colour palette
  • When it comes to patterns and textures, again, he opts for simplicity over anything else, wearing almost no patterns outside of his team kit
  • He has a clear love for New Balance trainers
