Because of this, we’ve come up with some helpful tips for you to give your quarantine a healthy boost and to help you feel on top of your game — even if all you’re doing is attending boring Zoom meetings all day long!

Reduce Your Screen Time

With the sudden increase in the daily screen-time of a lot of people, people have gotten really concerned with their eye health. While work’s really important and you can’t switch your devices with a more eye-friendly alternative, you could always try managing your time to avoid sitting in front of a screen all day. 

Start by clearly defining your working hours and sticking to your schedule. Don’t forget to take breaks in between, and make sure your screen isn’t glaringly bright or placed in a way that leads to bad posture. If you think it helps you, you could even try using a blue light filter, either on your computer screen or on your prescription eyewear. 

Try to give yourself an electronic detox for a couple of hours, as well, where you essentially keep all your electronics aside and spend time doing something you enjoy — that doesn’t involve them. You could be making dinner, reading a book, or working out. But whatever it may be, it should give you time off that bright screen you spent your day watching. 

Eat A Balanced, Home-Cooked Meal

What you eat basically governs your health, so try to eat as cleanly as possible. If you’ve mostly lived off take-out in the past, now’s a great time to get in charge of your nutrition and learn cooking! Make sure that your diet includes all necessary vitamins and minerals including Omega-3 fatty acids, zinc, iron magnesium, and iodine. 

If you’ve got the budget for it, getting a certified nutritionist to plan your meals for you would be a decision you won’t regret. While you’re at it, don’t forget your regular doctor’s visits, too! Keeping track of your body’s condition will not only help fight any potentially harmful diseases during their early onset but also allow you to live your best life, completely stress-free. 

Work-out Regularly

You’re probably tired of hearing this tip from countless other sources, but we’re repeating it: Keeping your body moving, especially when you’re doing a job that doesn’t involve much physical activity, is absolutely essential. As human beings, we simply were not designed to sit, hunched over our desks, for eight hours a day. We need movement to stay healthy, both physically and mentally.

The advantages of establishing a fitness regimen are multifold. For instance, working out will not only help tone your muscles and joints and energize you, but it’s also going to increase your metabolism and bowels. Daily exercise also combats diseases and improves your cardiovascular system, among having other benefits. Of course, it’s okay to start slow, and you don’t necessarily need to run a 5K every day to stay fit.

Leave Out Some Time For Meditation And Skincare

Meditation and skincare are some great practices to alleviate stress and help you look your best. To help you keep your skin — and your mind — in check, make these tasks a priority. Set aside 30 minutes of your electronic detox time to meditate and reflect, and to moisturize and exfoliate (or include any other skincare practices you have in mind). 

This little routine is going to work wonders in helping you stay far away from skin problems, acne breakouts, and any signs of stress and ageing that your work might be having on your body.
