Burberry oozes classic British Heritage styling, providing timeless classics for the modern man. Founded in 1856 by Thomas Burberry in Basingstoke, Burberry firmly established itself as a go to relatively early due to its trademark tartan, checks and it’s ever popular Trench Coat; No-one does a trench like Burberry. Burberry excels when it comes to wrapping up and embracing the cold, with coats generally dominating the majority of its men’s looks on the winter catwalk.

Burberrys A/W 11 collection shone with pops of bright mustards and electric blues, there was an influx of velvet and accents of faux fur showing up on everything from accessories to coats. The electric blue cable knit and the mustard jumper shown here are two essential A/W trends, bringing your winter wardrobe bang up to date. Fairisle jumpers also dominated as did creamy beige earth tones. The famous Nova checks could be seen on lots of the pieces finished in true Burberry style. Colour blocking from S/S 11 swept right through the catwalk meaning that it’s here to stay throughout this season, gone are the dismal greys and blacks of seasons past, a pop of intense colour is perfect to brighten up the dreary mornings as well as your mood. Essentially Burberry has got it completely right, reinventing its older classics such as the mac and the pea coat and demonstrating how perfectly both the old and new styles can integrate seamlessly in giving a modern look with a classic British heritage twist. The collection is perfect for work classics and quirky daywear with styles being versatile enough to suit and flatter all ages.
